Shoppers at THE OUTNET
would recognise that the site is known for offering branded good at slashed
prices. Often times though, these designer items that buyers purchase are
statement pieces – quite loud own its own and needs to be matched with other
basics.
Aware of this need, THE OUTNET launched its very own line, Iris & Ink. Iris & Ink promises to deliver staple clothing items such as pants, skirts, dresses, blouses, jackets and such at a reasonable price, yet maintaining the trendy look. These essentials are in solid tones, helping to harmonise the other pieces that you try to mix and match, which works as a great base to let your designer items pop out. Since these are the fundamental pieces of a wardrobe year in and year out, THE OUTNET also makes sure they are never “sold out”.
For the Spring/Summer 2013
collection, Iris & Ink tweaked its look to fit in with the colours of the
season. Palettes of neutrals and brights have been worked into their pieces.
Let’s take a look at what this collection has got to offer! Who knows, you
might find something worth a last minute snatch for your Chinese New Year
wardrobe.
Last season, the leather
tunic top, shift dress and cocktail dress were some of the bestselling from
Iris & Ink. For this spring, these pieces are brought back in hues like
elephant grey and teal. According to Eve Thomas, Styling Director of THE
OUTNET, this dress should be treated as a blank canvas and then played up with
strappy sandals, an oversized blazer and a statement clutch for a contemporary
twist on evening style.
Another leather piece from the
collection is this peplum top. Eve Thomas’ top tip to pull off a peplum top is
that the lower half of your outfit should be kept sleek and simple.
Some of the key pieces of
this collection is the navy shorts suit and the white sleeveless blazer.
Classic cashmere sweater
makes for a great colour block piece.
Eve Thomas suggests pairing this military-style
silk shirt with skinny jeans and towering heels, with the sleeves rolled up.
